Younger shoppers are making long-term lifestyle choices in their weekly shop... focusing on cumulative health benefits from Kefir, Kombucha and other gut-friendly products as opposed to filling their basket with faddy diet trends!
In a recent press release, Charlie Parker, senior nutritionist at Ocado Retail said:
“We are seeing that our customers – particularly younger consumers – are thinking about health in a long-term way. It’s less about chasing short-term diet trends – and more about investing in wellbeing through everyday choices.”
"The demand for high-protein options also continues to increase, with data showing yearly sales growth of 91 per cent across the high-protein ready meal range."
With the likes of Bryan Johnson setting a global longevity agenda through social media platforms like Instagram, Tik Tokand via streaming platforms like Netflixit comes as little surprise to find consumers looking for ways to live more healthily and in a lower impact way upon their bodies and the planet.
What do you think? Is health firmly at the front-and-centre of the agenda?
